This wasn’t the first occasion we’ve had to host Jeremy Winston and his Chorale at our festival, and going by the amazing experiences in previous years, we couldn’t wait to welcome them back. With such a natural presence on stage, impressive vocal range and timbre, not to mention capacity to relate to the audience and infectious sense of fun, they really are well worth witnessing first-hand.

And what a treat it was to observe the individual members of the ensemble rehearse, to see how music utterly consumes them, how much they enjoy themselves in the process and, above all, manage to share this joy amongst themselves and anyone watching. Their constant singing and dancing in the break between rehearsals, at lunch-time and even on the walk from the tram, frequently grabbing the attention of passers-by, could leave nobody doubting that these guys simply live and breathe music.

The group’s leader and conductor Jeremy has a very strong authority and watching rehearsals it’s clear he works them hard and is a stickler for detail. The recipe clearly works wonders with the members of the orchestra as around one half of them are able to perform as soloists and dedicate their entire lives to music.

So dear Hope, Alexander and all the others, we hope to see you back in Prague some day again! Anyone who can’t wait for that, however, has the chance to see them again this Saturday and Sunday at Reduta where they’ll be performing a special programme. You won’t be disappointed!
