James Morrison
There’s only one James Morrison. Whether on the trumpet, trombone, saxophone or piano, or even the trumpet and piano together, the music of this multitalented star always fills us with inspiration. And each and every one of us will surely savour this delectable experience by Morrison, his fellow musicians and delightful guest singer for a long time to come.
On top of this, his mastery managed to incite the Czech National Symphony Orchestra to deliver an amazing performance fully exploiting the potential of each instrument and the masterful leadership of the conductor Kryštof Marek. It was wonderful to witness the vast majority of the orchestra’s musicians display their artistic flair and inventiveness rewarding us with a performance easily on a par with the very best the world has to offer.
Aside from praise for the audience, the ensemble also rated the orchestra and its special guests very highly, who incidentally proved to be incredibly convivial companions backstage. Hence the never-ending ovations came as no surprise, nor that the fans begged for an autograph and joint photo with the dignified musical celebrity. And we’re delighted to have received plenty of glowing feedback and praise since.
The evening certainly exceeded expectations as a highlight on the festival programme allowing Prague to play host to an exceptional cultural experience. Let’s hope James Morrison honours his promise to return and pays us another visit very soon.
