Vladislav Kozderka

Tribute to Vladislav Kozderka

Church of St. Barbara, Kutna Hora,

He collaborated with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra for many years and we are dedicating this concert to celebrating the life of our colleague, friend and great professional.
Having worked as solo trumpeter for the National Theatre Opera Orchestra followed by the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, he also scooped up several prestigious awards at international competitions such as 1st prize at the 1974 Prague Spring and the Gold Medal award in Toulon France (1976). We managed to organise a date at a fantastic church venue along with several willing fellow trumpeter colleagues to showcase some of Vladislav Kozderka’s best work. Were he still with us, Vladislav would be celebrating his 69th birthday the day before our concert is scheduled to take place.
