Joe Travers
Eerily gifted, Joe Travers is of course from Erie Pennsylvania and a graduate of the Berklee College of Music. He’s also the Vaultmeister, archiving and co-producing material from the vault for the Zappa Family Trust since 1995. He has natural, unnatural and supernatural rhythm. Frank Zappa pronounced to Dweezil in the time of Z (Dweezil & Ahmet Zappa's rocking teen-age combo from the old days), “Now you’ve got yourself a real drummer.”
Joe has also worked with Duran, Duran, Warren Cuccurullo, Mike Keneally, and Lisa Loeb to name a few. Recently, he was a part of the Disney Hall 200 Motels performance of 2013, playing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and working closely with Gail Zappa. Joe continues to play while based in Los Angeles, CA.
