We have put together one incredible event for you in terms of both content and cast.
Hollywood Night Classic presents
the music of international composers across the centuries appearing in films. Frequently recalled far easier than the story itself, allow yourself
to savour each and every one of these with us including Amadeus though perhaps that one’s rather obvious. How about Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony
selected for the airing of the British monarch’s message to his people in the King’s Speech?
And we couldn’t possibly leave out Wagner’s Ride
of the Valkyries from the opera of the same name (The Valkyrie), which appears in the film Apocalypse. Or Strauss's symphonic poem Thus Spoke
Zarathustra for that matter, which works a treat in Kubrick's sci-fi flick 2001: A Space Odyssey. You can also look forward to some surprise choices
including Bach's organ works in Coppola’s The Godfather i.e. Prelude BWV 532, the fortissimo of which was used for the final scene of the first part
of this spectacular Mafia saga.
